Andreas Andreou, is a professor of electrical and computer engineering. He is the co-founder of the Johns Hopkins University Center for Language and Speech Processing the first research center at Johns Hopkins University doing AI research. Significant algorithmic research contributions in pattern analysis and machine intelligence include the vocal tract normalization technique for speech recognition and heteroscedastic linear discriminant analysis. He is a co-founder of the company Telluride Semi Inc. aimed at commercializing neurally inspired architectures for machine perception and cognition at the edge. He is a Fellow of IEEE.
